Before I send my SR-15 off to have the gas block tighten, does anyone in the DFW Texas area have a mod2 gas block tool that would be willing to let me visit for a 5 minute job? It had completely come loose and I pulled it off to clean the gas block and barrel, I snugged it back on but I know it’s not tightened to 25 foot pounds. I have someone I mentioned for a reasonable price that can tighten it up for me to the correct torque but felt like posting might be worth a shot. Thanks, |

Thanks, If your gas block nut came loose without someone wrenching on it, we would 100% bring it back on an RMA for evaluation and correction. |
| Thanks for the responses guys, this was an upper I bought used off of gun broker and not a complete gun. Just wanted to put that out there so no one gets the wrong impression. It ran fine for about a year on my registered NFA lower and assume it wasn’t tighten to the correct spec and through harmonics it worked it self loose over time. |

If you send it back to us, worst case is that you'll have to cover shipping and some shop time. It's the lowest risk, with highest probability of success of all options. |
