Just got back last night from the Veterans Airsoft game at Six Flags. It was much better than I expected. I thought with 500 people in such a small area we would all just bottle neck at a few locations, which did happen, but they had an interesting moving spawn concept which kept the deadlocks short when they did occur. The location was pretty damn cool. Seeing the old rides in that condition gave off end of the world video game vibes. Most of the building were stable enough to enter and much of the surrounding area was flooded. They had NPC characters roaming the area which was pretty interesting. I've never been to a game that incorporated something like that. It sounded pretty lame but in practice It added a lot to the experience. About half of the NPCs were carrying Hollywood blank fire guns which were LOUD. Ear pro loud, especially near buildings. They also had a helicopter over the park the entire day. It flew almost non-stop, taking up people to then shoot down at people. They were flying maybe 75-100 ft over head which added a lot to the experience. This wasn't a mission oriented event even though they did have some missions. For our group with was basically a 2 day open play with no breaks at a very cool venue.
