I continue to struggle with my build. If I put a full 10 round mag in the gun, it won't feed a round without me pressing the bolt forward. When I shoot a round, it won't feed another 80-90% of the time without me pushing the bolt forward. When the magazine is empty or removed, the bolt seems to cycle fine, maybe a little sticky from time to time. When I pull the receiver out of the stock, the bolt cycles fine. If I remove the trigger, it's smooth as can be. I've cleaned it. I've lubed it. I've lubed it with grease. I've lubed it with oil. Periodically it'll start cycling for a few mags, but most of the time it just does the same fail to feed routine. Seems to be better when the mag is less full... as if the magazine tension is hanging up the bolt.
This is a Brownell's BRN-22TD with a factory Ruger bolt and Ruger trigger pack. I think I upgraded to Kidd springs and a Kidd charging handle without any change. The barrel is a Gemtech Mist TD. Stock is the Magpul Hunter.
Any suggestions on how to troubleshoot this better?
