Looking for something good enough to PID a coyote vs the neighbors dog out to 200 yards.

I'm partial to Pulsar products so I'll go with the Thermion 2 XP50 Pro. Add another grand if you want LRF. There are more deals showing up all the time with the really high definition scopes coming out.

I live in the plains where distance is an issue. |

I’m reviewing the Armasight Contractor 640 right now. Comes in closer to $6K, though. I’m pretty impressed so far.

Lightly used Nox 35 go for around 5k. That's what I did and I don't regret it one bit. If you will only have one thermal I think it's tough to beat for your intended use.

View Quote If this will be your only thermal, I would look more at the Nox 35. I use mine as a scanner and throw it on my rifle when I see them come in. Scanning with the rifle for any period of time sucks and 3x base mag is a lot unless it's staying on the rifle. If buying new I would call Euro Optic. Being a veteran they will give you a good deal. |

View Quote I do the same. The NOX 35 comes with an ADM mount. RTZ is excellent. Scanning with an XRF wouldn't be ideal though. 200 yards is easy with a NOX 35 and it makes for a better scanner. Just my .2 |

Some of the Bering Optics products like the Yoters do use an iRay sensor.

I would definatly look at an Iray RH50R Mk2 for the features vs price. Street price is your budget.
