You could always set-up a reloading press. I purchased my MEC decades ago and still have ~10K primers and several jugs of CLAYS in my stash. Wads and shot are all I have purchased in the last few years. Wads are cheap enough but Lead shot has got insane. Not really sure what the per round cost is for reloading 12ga from the start-up is these days but still got to believe it’s less than $8 per box. I don’t know. EVERYTHING is so much more expensive these days. |

Do you live anywhere near an Academy Sports and Outdoors store? If not , I'm sure you can get it shipped so long as your state isn't one of the sad ones. They have 10% off ammo if you purchase $300 or more going right now. A box of 100 rds of the house brand Monarch runs $35 before the 10%. That'd work out to the equivalent to $78.75 per flat of shells before tax and maybe shipping. If you want to reach out a bit, there are a few brands of ammo running a $5/box rebate on turkey shells. You won't be getting down to $100 per flat, but you will wear out faster, so you don't need as many shells. |
