Never owned any type of a muzzleloader but I figured I would dive in head first and bought a .32cal Pedersoli flintlock. Something small and fun for the kids to shoot. 3fg powder look like it’s out of stock everywhere. Is it possible to use 2fg or even 4fg powder? Everything I see seems to have very strong opinions one way or another. I think I got everything else I need. I’ll probably just shoot round balls but I have a bunch of molds for 32 acp ranging from 60gr to 90gr. Has anyone used pure lead bullets designed for a 32 acp or any other 30 cal on a muzzleloader before? I assume the 1:48 twist will limit it to fairly lightweight bullets. |

bigtex84, Have fun; it's addicting. Which model Pedersoli did you get? Is it the Frontier? You can get away with shooting the other powders you mention, but do so as a last resort and be careful. 3F is what that little rifle needs. Just stick with patched round balls. Nix the pistol bullets - they probably won't stabilize, and if you shoot them bare they'll just lead up your barrel. |

But I love reloading as much as shooting. I like to tinker and experiment that’s why I ask. I would really be shooting anything but round balls until I master everything else and can find the correct components in stock. 3fg powder and the right size flints seems impossible to find. |
| Travelers is showing Swiss and Scheutzen 3F in stock. Hazmat fees make ordering just a pound or 2 not economical, maybe you know others that want to make up a larger order |

I bought several pounds a few years ago when Goex was questionable to return to production and BP was tough to source. No issues with the purchase. I've never personally met the owner but we share several mutual friends. |
