Buying a silencer from a private party

Seller is in OH, which is still an NFA state. I am in TN. Can i just have the seller (buying from a buddies estate, his daughter is not a gun person), take it to a gun store and send it to my FFL, fill out a 4473 and call it done?

Ohio man would have to Form 4 it to your dealer and then whatever happens after that is between you and them.

Even if the NFA completely goes away silencers are still firearms under the GCA, so a dealer would still have to be involved in any interstate transfer.
