Do the receiver welds stretch or deform in any way that's different from the rest of the receiver? Do the welds have the same fatigue life as the rest of the receiver? Ever hear any discussion of this by CMP? They describe the the process both in email and news release, and also put out a YouTube video |

They didn't even have Field Grade Garands in 2000. I don't remember exactly when that grade was added, but it was 2004 or 2005 by my memory. Plus we had all the Danish return guns that came with various non-USGI Breda parts (and some Pietro Beretta) and VAR barrels. Even some actual PB Italian-made receivers. Don't forget that the Greek returns were in circulation by 2003, too, and many Rack Grades (and some Service Grades) had Greek beechwood furniture. |

Now I'm digging into my M1 parts to see how many receivers/ barreled receivers I could build up. I'm impressed with the quality of the work and the appearance is very good. Most of the former weld evidence will be below the wood line. Time to hit the order line again... |
