Does anyone know which, if any, QD sling swivel points work with HBI handguards? I bought the PMM front mount before buying the HBI forend, but it doesn't seem like it will work. I was using an MLOK QD point but the position bothers me.

Anyone have a photo of an SBR'd Scorpion with a 7.7" barrel and the Griffin 3-lug or HKParts 1/2x28 3-lug attached? I'm trying to figure out how short I need to list my barrel length when I send in my Form 1 and have it cut down from a carbine, and I plan to have a Rugged Obsidian ride it most of the time with an HK-style 3-lug flash hider on it whenever the can goes on something else. I intend to use the HBI angled pistol-length handguards once I'm done, if that matters.

If so, I could hypothetically just have it cut to be a carbon copy of the pistol barrel, which opens up my handguard options somewhat too... |

To those of you who bought the Yetiwurks grip recently, the grip screw is not too small. Compare the oem screw with the yetiwurks screw. They are almost the same length.
OEM has more threads than the Yeti screw while the Yeti has more shank which is causing interference with the receiver hole and the screw will not go full depth. The Oem screw will by proud of the nut on the opposite side of the grip when you tighten it down. While the included screw will be more flush. Removing the receiver interference via rat tail file for example will allow the yetiwurks screw to go full depth. |

Does anybody have an HKParts 3 lug adapter? I bought one and screwed it on and am wondering how tight I should try to get it. I hand tightened it thinking that the scorpion's little clip thing on the muzzle would help secure it but I can easily still break it loose and wiggle it, which worries me with a suppressor on it. It doesn't have any flats to stick a wrench on so what have any of you done as far as how tight to get it?
Thanks! |
|
|
I just used a Cresent wrench across the lugs to tighten mine with no ill effect. Mined didn't come with flat areas on the back like some.
I'm using a Rugged Obsidian 3 lug mount and HKParts 3 lug adapter. |

Is there anything out there or small tweaks that can make the safety easier to engage/disengage? I've thought about getting the AK style safety for more leverage but my thumbs are small, girly, and weak.

RIP FammyMan. Thank you for buying my first membership.
|
The AK style safeties are sweet, and the extra length gives you the leverage you need if you have weak fingers or have a selector that is 'resistent'. I just got the strong side one--the mini variant. Works great.

I stoned mine when I replaced the trigger pack because it was really bad. It is much better after doing the polish job and no new lever was going to fix the issue.
Just go slow if you choose to do it. |

I don't have small thumbs, so the regular size one might work better for you. |
