Can a cerakoted gun be re-done in a different color? Is there a color very close to blue steel?

Yes, as many times as you want. There are colors similar but really nothing looks like it. I have night vision black that looks almost similar.

I recoated the same lower probably 25 times during practice/learning.

You can spray it as many times as you want.

Are you stripping the old finish off or spraying on top of it?

I was about to post a cerakote question. Perfect!
Would this be an acceptable sand blaster for something small like car calipers or a pistol?
What about the media?

it would work but boy will that make a mess and sting. NIC recommends Alum Oxide or Garnet however Coal Slag (Fine) from tractor supply is dirt cheap and works just fine.

Absolutely. I sandblasted a gun exactly once before I bought a cabinet. Not only did I get sand all over my driveway, but I also felt like a rolled in a sandbox full of ants.
