Friend of a friend is asking for help selling this behemoth. It's clearly a benchrest gun. He isn't from the area, just moved here. I don't think benchrest is much of a thing here anymore. I don't know anyone in those circles if it is. My clubs don't mention it at all. So what is this thing and what kinda value is it? He says lower round count. I have zero interest. But just want to make sure he doesn't get hosed. I know it probably cost in the few thousand range if not more when new. I can see it's .300 Ack Imp, the .335 NK I'm guessing is neck? .30 caliber indicates a benchrest for score gun. The gun was built by Speedy Gonzales in Texas, and it was several years back. I have lost track of him since he left Murray State College in Oklahoma and opened a new shop under a new name. Shouldn't be tough to track down. SG&Y is Speedy Gonzales & Yvonne. Speedy is Thomas Gonzales , and his current business is SG Precision. I think he is in the San Antonio region now. He has a YouTube channel. There's more benchrest all around than you know. Look around on the NBRSA and the IBS sites for clubs and contacts. NK is the neck diameter. A new Stiller Predator action is about $1000. |

The contacts are the point. If the rifle is for sale, call the contacts, they'll check around for interest. Go wild with a letter and a few photos that can be spread around. Speedy probably has records with the date he built the rifle. |
