Good afternoon.  Wanting to switch thread inserts on Wolverine and cannot budge the current insert.  Following directions
given in Utube vid by Dead Air and still no luck.  Dead Air offered to do it but they have had my Sandman L for over 2 months and
I don't want the Wolverine out that long.
Any suggestions how to get the insert to move would be greatly appreciated.   Thanks.

If you did not heat up the can body I'd try that next. Getting it hot isn't going to hurt it.

Makes using the spanner a lot more "fun" when it's hot, so wear gloves, etc

Heat the can with a torch then try it .

Thanks all.  So torch to thread area?  How long?
Any suggestions on better way to secure suppressor ?
To me the supplied wrench is pretty lame.
Thanks again.

I've always used the supplied wrench with no problems.  Short of a vice insert made for the diameter of the suppressor that incorporates the wrench the wrench is foolproof.  Hit the insert/threads with a propane torch for maybe 15-30 seconds and try again....and keep trying until it breaks free.  If it's from Dead Air and not used there shouldn't be anything on the threads besides anti-seize.  Torque is 40-50 ftlbs so it shouldn't be crazy to break loose.  Maybe try a larger wrench if you cannot get sufficient leverage to loosen that insert.

Last resort you could always try some Kroil or PB Blaster and let it penetrate the threads.

On the subject of Dead Air Wolverine. Does anyone on Gods green earth make an Uzi adapter for the Wolverine? Uzi’s are like bad step children of the suppressor world. Nobody makes shit for them. And the barrel nut thread is like a secret, nobody know what it is.

A search says the uzi barrel nut is M26x1.5. A local machine shop could confirm that if you take the nut.

You should really just commit to the system and buy a GSL Jericho.  They’re on GB for about $630, so for less than a grand with taxes/transfer you can have a Uzi specific suppressor.  I love mine.

I imagine even it you found a machinist to make an adapter it’ll still run you at least $150-200.  It wouldn’t be correct, but you can always buy a sacrificial barrel and cut/thread to whatever mount you want and use your wolverine.
