Worst looking mag turned out with just a little finish wear after hitting it with a copper wool pad. Attached File Two of the mags have an inventory number engraved on the front spline. Two of them had a small sticker w inventory number. |

Would likely be a good idea to buy some new followers from Midway. A good internal cleaning is also a must-do. New springs can be either made from GI 30-rd mag springs or cut-down Ruger 30-rd mags, depending on what the spring hole in the follower will allow. Assume Original Equipment mag spring has compressed 3 coils shorter than "new" mag spring, so plan on trimming the 30-rd springs. Wolff sells "Xtra Power" Mini-14 mag springs" Wolff Suggest this is best alternative. |

No cracks, chips, etc. I do need to compare the length of the spring in these used mags to some of my other factory 20 round mags. But, as of now I see no reason to replace anything. Replacing the follower and springs make these $20 mags no longer a decent deal as I've bought new factory 20s for just over $30 before. |

It is normal for a new spring to take a "set" to a slightly shorter length after being installed; this may take some time, but it will happen. Generally, I suggest folks buy often used/consumable spare parts for their firearms, including, (but not limited to) mag springs and plastic mag followers. This makes Gun-Banners like Kamala Harris and Joe Biden cry. If you don't need them right now, it's likely you will need them in the future. In the event Kamala becomes President, look for legislation restricting firearms spare parts. |

They are on clearance for $15 or $10ea if you buy 5+, so you better hurry!!!!! Yours look like the ones I received. Most were clean with a little wear but 3-4 had surface rust that came right off with some Kroil and steel wool. I ordered 15 & 9 were LEO marked & the others just had the Ruger stamp on the side & 1 with a Ruger floor plate. Several had stickers with "MBP" on them and "ERT" stenciled on them and one had "Ionia ERT" stenciled on it so it looks like these came from Michigan prisons. |

I'd love to see this deal on 30 round mags. I like the 20s for the standard Mini stock, but prefer to use 30s with the Samson AT-M stock. Attached File |
