In the past, I've gotten an email or a phone call from an examiner if anything was hinky before approval; this time, it was just a "Naw dawg, try again" disapproval email. Here's what gets my goat - "MOD 635" is a choice in the drop-down list, which is filtered (I think) by manufacturer, so that means "MOD 635" was added to the list of available models in the past. If it's not correct, then why is it on the list? Still, even after my screw-up, another 5 day wait for approval isn't intolerable, so I'm just feeling a little Karen-y on this one. |

eF1 AOW, made as an individual. Note that this may have taken extra time because the receiver is 100% scratch-built from a block of steel. I included a letter explaining that the receiver will be a hand-made copy of an existing shotgun receiver. I guarantee that this took extra time due to Christmas and Christmas Day observed on 12/26 plus any last-minute rush before everything changed with the $0 tax on 01/01/2026. Still, two weeks overall counting four weekend days, two holiday days, the wait for old school paper prints, the $0 tax change, and the item being truly scratch built is excellent compared to historical norms. I filed two form ones on 1/3, one on 1/4, and one on 1/5. All for SBRs. 2026553xxx, 2026554xxx, 2026674xxx and 2026698xxx All came back approved today, one a minute, from 1340-1344 CST Looks like they're checking to see if you have multiples and batching them!!!! All individual, with uploaded EFT file fingerprints |
