My First Look thread was archived, so making a new one to share my review. TLDW; this is a full-sized 3D printed inconel can with reduced backpressure, bored for 6mm, and very quiet. It's pretty stout so I definitely prefer it on shorter guns or a dedicated bench type SPR. I shot it on 10.5, 11.5, 12.5, 13, 13.9, 14.5, 16, and 18" rifles (that last one being 6 ARC) so I have a pretty good handle on how it performs. The only area where it doesn't excel quite as much would be on flash suppression--it doesn't have any flash hiding elements on it, and first round flash is noticeable but not awful. Flash also doesn't go away as quickly as some other cans, but it still performed pretty well under NV. All in all it's definitely a solid can, and I think it will end up on my thermal hunting rifle (12.5"), where weight and flash aren't quite as important as overall suppression is to me. I have the compact, and I like it. My son used it at our last comp, and on my 11.5 it definitely flashes pretty good. Personally I don't care about that at all, I never shoot at night. My unscientific opinion is that my Rhodie 6k is a bit quieter and backpressure seems to be about the same. Overall it's a good can, but costs too much. Have you compared yours with a Rhodie? |
