I don't have anything EA, and I do have a few DA.  But, after the way DA handled their baffle problems, and the cool way EA has engaged here, I'd put EA anything to the top of my list.  I was just browsing their site last night seeing if they offer anything I absolutely need.

I have a DA sandman-s that I have had no issues with, a EA dealer I went to once told me most of their cans are pretty loud, personally idk

I’m hopeful that I’ll be able to get a Ferox out for review. It should be much lower backpressure than the Sierra 5, and also bored for 6mm if that matters to you. As mentioned, EA has been much better on the the Arfcom and CS front, and I haven’t heard any reports of Feroxs having their baffles disintegrating.

EA or any can is going to be better than the Sierra5.  Go with the EA.

I have a ferrox in jail right now so can’t comment on performance yet, but the main factors that made me chose it were weight, reduced back pressure, and the serial ID ring which is a nice feature if it ever needs to be rebuilt.  The keymo mount on the DA adds 4.6 oz.  I’m using a titanium hub mount (DD zilch) which only weighs 1.5 oz, which should be lighter than the direct thread mount the ferrox ships with putting the assembled weight under 12 oz which is pretty good for a FA rated stainless can.

EA, Griffin, and ECCO are all members here and I gladly support them as they are up front and happily answer questions, quickly.

I really, really want a Vox K

I had purchased Sierra 5 before hearing/understanding the early issues and poor response by their customer service (or lack thereof).

With that being said, I have a Sierra5 with Xeno mount on my SBR 10.5 5.56 AR and on my SBR 5.56 AK.  Both sound great/hearing safe and I am happy with them; I was surprised at how well they do on the short barrels.

I don't have experience with the ferox to compare.

Just for record.

I picked up my Ferox today.  Weight with direct thread mount is 12.6 oz (on my kitchen scale, might not be accurate).  The direct thread adapter is 1.4 oz and the DD zilch is 1.2.  Total weight with zilch is 12.4 oz.  Shooting it on Saturday.
