I think one of the best arguments for ESEE, is that it seems to be the benchmark for judging other knives. Go on YouTube and you'll see what I mean especially when it comes to the 6.

Bought this one off the EE. I basically just wanted a quality, indestructible, sharpened pry-bar…and that’s what I got:

I need to up my Esee game. I’d like to add a 4 and an Izula.

I hate those colors, but it does make them easy to see if you drop them.

I'd try to handle a -4 before you buy one, or buy the HM version.

I have had a -4 for long enough that it's still marked  RAT.  It was the first knife I spent over $100 on, I wanted to love it, I loved the community over on BF when Randall's adventure training had a sub forum there.  I hate the handle of the knife so badly that I designed and made another knife based on fixing all the things I hated about the 4. I'm also not a fan of how thick the blade is on the 4. Iirc, the 6 is made from the same thickness so it's more appropriate for the size of the blade. I haven't handled a 6 but if I was going to buy another esee, the 6 or 3 would be it, aside from the HM version of the 4.  I got a chance to handle the -4HM at smkw and it's a whole different animal and actually feels like it'd be useful, unlike my rat-4, which just feels like disgust and disappointment in my hand.  It's a decent steel with a quality sheath and a great warranty though.
