Attached File Attached File After an hour in EvapoRust and some steel wool I'm more convinced that it deserves to live. I can even make out the stamping on the top of the barrel now. I'll need to do more disassembly to tidy up every detail and inspect the internals, but it appears to have been in a drawer most of its life and only shot a little. The bore is not bad, with only a little pitting from humidity in the air. It appears as if it should be safe to fire. I'm torn between a quickie cold blue and a Cerakote to imitate parkerizing. (Cue "So it begins" meme.) |
