According to some Chinese OEMs, thermals and DNVs that use .01% or whatever of the new materials will be blocked from export as of November 8? Any truth to this or are they confused? |

Unless you know what materials it has, you have no idea of knowing whether this is correct. Chinese sellers don't tend to play games with their warnings so if the manufacturers or resellers are saying it, it's probably true. And even if it is, it's not certain how that will affect exports. It might be as simple as the manufacturer makes a request and it's granted, or it could be complex like ITAR where you need to justify the end use. I'd be more worried about drone parts myself. The US can't make small drones presently without chinese technology. It did develop some magnetless motors, but these are complicated and not available for drone use, as well as being heavier than their chinese BDC permanent magnet motors. Anyway, I thought Trump and China fixed all those problems ? |
