Nice!
I've got almost the same in a 14-inch bbl version except for the shell holder.

Looks good.

Is there anyone out there 3D printing shell holders that fit in the existing metal holes on the stock? If so who as I want some

I have the same setup. Back in the 80's, the Ohio State Highway Patrol had 870's with the top folder. They kept them in a sleeve attached to the front seat cushion of their cruisers (bench seats). No locks, just in a sleeve. We shot clays with them in the academy. Try it sometime.

Can we see a close-up of the shell holder and how it’s afixed.

It's beautiful!

I built something similar once but found it was more fun to look at than actually shoot.

It's a Remington factory extension.  These are difficult to find and expensive these days.
Tank's Rifle Shop sell a copy...........

https://www.tanksrifleshop.com/store/tanks-hd-magazine-extension/

A less expensive route is to buy a Choate extension and the Remington type clamp from Tank's.

Gun Parts have "A" "Remington"  folding stock.  This might be better then the original Remington stock which had problems with the plastic grip cracking.......

The folding stock is OEM Remington metal folder, got it off of Ebay. It was a little banged up but it cleaned up real nice.
Gunbroker has quite a few for sale in various states of condition.
The 870 came with the magazine tube extension. I added the 'Corn cob" forend, again from Ebay, and the shell holder is from Amazon.
7 shell hook and loop

It's for a KelTec but it works.
The one thing is the stock wobbles when folded, so I invested in these little magnets.

Also, from Amazon.
If I can find a rubber butt pad for the folder I will incorporate them into it. For now, two keep the stock nice and tight, so I can Sarah Conner pump it,

Thanks for all the positive responses, everyone.

Way back when, the Remington factory folder stock came with a thin rubber pad with self-sticking adhesive that could be applied to the steel butt.
It was loose in the box.
The stick-on adhesive was not very good and the pads didn't stay put long.

The problem with adapting a pad to the stock is that if it's much thicker then the 1/8 inch stick-on pad the stock can't fold on top of the barrel.
The butt also has a hole to allow folding on a barrel with rear rifle sight.  A solid pad won't work with the sight.

Worst stock I ever used was that one but I regret selling it now. It rattled, was heavy and uncomfortable, still looks cool as hell though.

There use to be a shell holder made for that folding stock, I’m sure it’s long out of production now days. As I recall it held five extra shells and was made out of polymer. It did require modification to the stock so I probably wouldn’t do it now days. I want to say it was made by Tac-Star but I’m not 100% certain. I wonder if you could 3D print a holder that works with the existing holes in the stock to hold four extra rounds vertically.
