I am looking for two pouches for two different uses. I need a flashlight pouch for EDC. My flashlight is a Fenix PD35 they I have owned for ten plus years. The pouch that I am using now is the one that came with it and it is now fraying on the side. I wear this on my belt daily. I need a multitool pouch for my battle belt. I was looking at Esstac pouches but don’t see anything. Maybe you guys might have a suggestion. I’m using a Gerber multitool that has just the tip of the pliers sticking out. I saw that SOE had basically what I am looking for but I didn’t care for their light pouch. Thanks for any suggestions and help. |

Thanks everyone. I will look over the links and suggestions. The Kydex might be a local options but expensive and then if I change lights at some point I’ll be looking for a holster again. I would go back to using the pocket clip again but I’ve turned the light on a few times while driving. Talking about being in the hot seat. I couldn’t pull the car over fast enough lol. |

Will they work on just a regular belt for my flashlight that I edc daily? While I’m thinking about it now would be the time to give a shoutout to DalTech for their SuperBio gun belt. Best belt I have ever opened. Owned one now for 10 plus years and it hasn’t lost its shape. It looks like a leather belt but isn’t. It’s just awesome. |

I'd use velco one-wrap to put it on either belt. If you want to carry a flashlight on your CCW belt, I'd look at something like one of the blue force gear elastic pouches. They will eventually wear out (loose stretchiness) but should work great for something like a flashlight. I'm actually fond of using these as an everyday CCW extra mag pouch. It doesn't look right away like a magazine pouch, it looks like a multitool pouch or something. I tell you it’s hard finding just a simple pouch to fit on my edc belt for a flashlight. I’m tempted to change my light to something different and put this flashlight on my chest rig or war belt. Something like the Streamlight Wedge. |

Don't forget that with any MOLLE backed pouch, you can add ESSTAC's Kywi belt clips which are the bomb-diggity if you just want to easily thread a pouch onto your pants belt. ROCK6 |

I just know very little about the brand. I do own an Osight SE that is really impressive. All my rifle lights and handgun lights are Streamlight and I like the brand and they are affordable. |

I dislike those belt clips, I have to drag them to get them on a leather CCW belt (incidentally a Daltech). Maybe they're better on a thinner synthetic belt. It's the clipping part of the upper loop, I might try grinding them down. The bottom loop should be enough to bear the weight. Fwiw I tried the Wilder molle clips so I could do an easy on/off and those are crazy tight so the search continues there. |

Sounds like you want a setup with flaps so this may not work for you, but I've been carrying a Blue Force Gear Double Pistol Belt Pouch since 2017 IIRC. I grabbed it because I wanted to try an elastic pouch that would allow me some versatility in what I carried. I was switching from a 1911 to a Shield at the time so I wanted something that would work for both; at this point the elastic is getting a bit stretched for a single stack but it still works. I've carried two mags, a mag and a Surefire, a Surefire and a Leatherman Wave (ex. going into a doctor's office and didn't want an empty pouch on my belt), mag and Wave and then basically since they introduced them, a narrow Snakestaff TQ* and a spare mag (or Wave if going somewhere I can't carry). It's not my favorite but it works surprisingly well, I haven't lost anything out of it but I don't do cartwheels either, and it's become my most oft used these days; I've got other mag pouches I use at other times. https://blueforcegear.com/double-pistol-belt-pouch-html *A couple of tongue depressors, one on either side, makes sliding the TQ in a lot easier. |

Thanks for the links and suggestions. I think I may try a new light and put my Fenix PD35 on my chest rig. I need to figure out a light that has a good recessed button that one turn on when I clip it to the inside of my pocket. I’m thinking of getting and trying the Streamlight Megalight. I wouldn’t mind the Streamlight Wedge but it’s more of an EDC light that I wouldn’t use in conjunction with my handgun. My budget for a light is $110 and under. |
I have a Beez for my multitool on chest rig. I like it. For a light? I pocket carry. But if large enough and needed it on belt, I'd do an HSGI. |

There's also at least one mt kydex maker on there, clip carry or something like that. This. Unobtainium gear is fantastic, they’ll definitely work, and you can get them with flaps. Esstac kywis should hold anything similar in size to a pistol mag, it works for multi tools and the protac HLX or 2L-X, the handheld that takes a single 18650. You’ll need malice clips, onewrap, or Esstac’s belt loops to mount these, they don’t have built in mounting straps. You can’t go wrong with HSGI tacos, can’t remember if they needed malice clips, though. Crossfire’s Cannoli is probably the most versatile due to how the flap/bungee is set up, plus the flap closure is awesome. Has mounting straps sewn in, and they’re perfectly set up for putting them on a 1.5” belt. It’s tall enough to take 24 round glock mags, and wide enough for two mags with a little room to spare. What I wound up doing is rolling up a bandana and using that as a spacer, it then fits a pair of 17+2 Glock mags and the above-mentioned Protac 2L-X. It also works to carry 3 G48/43X mags. You could also substitute the bandana for a compact field dressing, or whatever else you can think of. AWS has a few pouches that’ll work. Their med/gp 6 is perfectly sized to carry a pair of 17+2 Glock mags, that should be the perfect fit for a multitool and flashlight. These will work on a 1.5” or 1.75” belt when they have something in them. Opening them when empty is a bitch unless they’re molle mounted, due to how they set up the elastic wrapping around the pouch. I kinda like their med/GP 2, it’s a damn near perfect fit for three 24rnd glock mags, or the absolute brick my old man calls a phone. Their single and double pistol mags pouches won’t work on a 1.5” or 1.75” belt due to how they did the webbing on the back, because someone over there is fucking retarded. You can get away with using the above stuff on a 2 piece belt using their LAB molle panels, if you really like their old school pouch design. |
