Does anybody currently make 50 or 100 round drums for the HK-91?

If so, are they ever in stock anywhere?

There's maybe 7 on GB right now.  Not sure what happened.

Looks like X Products is now located in Washington State and doesn't make their drums anymore due to Washington State ban.

Doesn’t Beta still make a g3/91 drum?

There's no AR15 drums on GB either.

Beta make the 100 round drums.

The 50 round x products drums are $$$ if you can find them...but they work fantastic...even with the blue 308 training ammo.

Shit! He stole my idea!
I thought about doing that years ago when the DT mags were a little less insane in prices.
Then, I remembered how heavy loaded 91 30s were, and sort of gave up on it.
How reliable is it?
Very neat.

I know a guy who has a beta mag with the HK91 tower on it for sale. I just asked this morning what he wanted and he's firm at $400. I think he has a little more than that into it. New in box with little backpack case. If you are interested I can send some pics.

That's probably the coolest looking HK drum in the WORLD.

I have one  made by C&S Metalwerks.  Came with a black ballistic nylon case, video tape
instructions on loading it, and the tools needed for loading.   At the time which was way back when
before the ones made by Viking they mentioned that they only made 20 or so.  As I recall one
had to supply the saddleback drum for the build.

I had no idea Ken made any of those for the 91. If you want to piss him off, ask about building you an MP-5 drum. Those things must have been a real PITA.

He’s the same guy who is selling the beta drum I mentioned earlier BTW.

I'm taking my PTR91 to the range tomorrow. My supervisor, who is also a shooter, lifted me two extended mags from the 80s or 90s. They're 2 20 rounders welded together. Still brand-new in their boxes. I wouldn't mind getting a drum mag for giggles and accessories collecting.

If you really want to piss Ken at C&S Metalwerks off remind him of my check for $200 that
he kept posted on his bulletin board as payment for the Hk 91 Drum along with the saddleback
drum.  It was an advance payment for the drum before they ever tried making one.

Ha. No shortage of those stories in this business. There weren’t really any other options for drum mags back when I first got into MP5’s and I tried my damnedest to bribe him into a couple more but it didn’t work. Sounds like they really, really sucked to build.

It’s funny everyone bringing up C&S because that background looks very familiar! lol

I saw that in there a few weeks ago and was toying around with picking it up.

That place is kinda dangerous. I've been fighting the urge to pick up that drum for a few weeks now so it would remove some stress from my life if it would go away.

I have two Allied Armament X-91 drums that I bought years ago at the SAR Show in Phoenix.  Loads of fun to shoot!

I had them out last weekend at the TracerFire Range annual Independence Day Shoot here in PA.

They run flawless in my S&H Arms of OK converted G3k.  The Cellini muzzle break that I put on it makes it very controllable to shoot but admittedly does create some muzzle flash.

They do add some weight to the gun... but not for long.

I have one drum for my FMP G-3 that I bought at the SAR show in Phoenix. It was an estate sale and the lady was selling everything her husband had.

Runs flawlessly.

But I do put a little dry lube in the inside that is used in the Beta mags and it has performed well.

That Vollmer conversion is so cool.  I am surprised no one mentioned the other rarest of them all, the HK factory "G8" 50 rd drum.  These were selling from like $1,200 years ago when they were a regular production item (not sure of status now but I assume no more).  I understand that for whatever reason HK was really weird about these drums and would only drop ship them directly to LE or Mil so regular HK dealers could not get them without jumping through hoops etc.  Considering at the time you could still by a used HK91 for like $1,800 - $2K that was a hard pass for me.

It baffles me why nobody is just Squirting one out for sale.

and BTW....the East German 75 rd mag covers fit perfectly on it for protection.
