I see all kinds of ear pro attached to helmets and wonder what the use case is. Strictly ear pro? Ear pro and comms?

I have no communications need, but would like electronic ear pro to reduce noise that stays with the helmet.

I could look on my own and have regrets after the purchase, so I am turning to you gents to hear if you have any recommendations.

I already have an electronic set, but they don’t attach to a helmet, and they cause ear soreness after awhile due to wearing glasses. Does anyone make electronic ear buds that attach to a helmet?

And after you get your set up get some of these.

Also, I've had good luck with Sordin Supreme pro-x models.
Sometimes you can find them in the EE for cheaper.

I use them to jam to AC/DC when going full tilt boogie.

I wear neckband Sordins under my helmet. I don’t shoot with my helmet on enough to buy a dedicated setup.

I put MSA sordin on my helmet using RAC and AMP and also did the spacer mod on them. 33NRR supposedly. I just know they work very well.

Another vote for the Sordin Surpreme if comms aren't a priority.  Great stereo audio, great battery life with auto shutoff, comfy with gel cups, reasonably affordable and you can get either Peltor or AMP arms to work with them

And while not designed for comms, it does have a 3.5mm headphone jack so you can pipe comms in.

If you use Sordins, Disco32 PTTs are helpful

I put some old Howard leight impacts on unity mounts. Does alright, would like to upgrade eventually. Gel pads do help a lot. I used neck band sordins under my helmet prior to that

I put OpsCore AMPs on both of my helmets.  I have a set of Comtac III that I have had nothing but problems out of.  They crackle, go dead on one side or another, eat batteries.  I've tried using them with the over the head band, mounted on the ARC rails with AMP arms adapters from AXL, both the 1st and 2nd gen, have tried using the old school ARC rail adapters, none of the helmet mounted gave me a good seal.  The AMPs seal perfectly, I can use the NFMI option if needed, plug in comms/microphone if needed, whatever.  to me the AMPs are the best thing going.

I went with them because I did not need comms, and they have the best sound reduction.
When you pair them with SFA adapters, it will bump your SNR to 31 on regular Supreme Pro X models, 32 on the others.

If you don't care about great comms (even though these can do acoustic tube comms) - Otto Noizebarrier Micro Earbuds (w/Comply Tips) are awesome. About $200 cheaper than AMPs. You don't even know they're in - no heat, no headache.

I went the knock off route after hearing about FMA's AMP clone on Dirty Civilian.  Can be worn standalone or mounted on the helmet, and integrates with comms if you want/need that capability in the future.  Directional mics and sound works great, and its far more clear than cheap electronic ear pro like Walkers.  I've had them for a few months now, and have done a fair bit of shooting with them.  Thus far they seem to be holding up just fine.

I have a Team Wendy helmet.  I bought their Peltor adapters which fit ANY Peltor muff, so you can just use the cheap $120 electronic ones.

@RD20 comtac 3s here dedicated for helmet use.  I got comms compatible so I wouldn’t need to get 2 sets of ear pro if I wanted comms later.  I’ve worn mine for 6 hoursss cz at a go no issues.

If you’re in central Ohio pm me and you can check mine out.
