Looking to pick up this set, and was wondering if anyone could give an opinion on the completeness of this combo and a fair price?  I've seen prices range from 1.5k-3.5k on the Mk93 and 250-500 on the cradle, highly dependent on condition of course.

Seller sent me these pics and I haven't inspected in person yet.

Aaron at beltfeds.com sell nice condition and complete surplus MK93 with M2HB ammo can holder for $2400.    Mod Ordnance sells just the mount used for $3500.

There was a guy on 1919 recently who had the mount, can and brass bag for sale for $2000. He dropped the price to $1750 and sold it  but you are taking a risk buying from a random guy off the web vs. a business like beltfeds and his mount and can looked a bit more beat up that the units Aaron is selling.

That mount in your post is missing a lot of paint but doesn't mean its not functional....but it does seem to have a decent amount of mileage.  I would guess as an individual sale its similar in condition to the one that just sold on 1919 so would say its a similar price ($1750 to $2000) for the mount and can assuming the buffers in the mount are still GTG.

The M240 adapter is probably another couple hundred dollars give or take so maybe $2000 to $2250 for the whole lot.

The actual mount looks to be complete with the pins but I dont know much about the M240 adapters to be honest.

Thank you!

I've bought from this gent before, and I will/would inspect in person before swapping cash.  In fact, if I told you his name you'd know it I'm sure.

Do you know if there was a "stainless steel" version made for the Navy?  I did a cursory search and couldn't find anything other than confirmation that some units were painted black for the Navy and possibly Air Force....

I was told this is the Navy version and is stainless steel, hence the question.

There are some other items I'm going to snag when I meet up with him, so if this doesn't pan out I'll for sure still be in the market.

I know the navy units were supposed to be painted black and army units are green.... not sure about air force or marines paint color.

In term of stainless versions, I have never heard that before but I guess over the years these mounts have been made its possible.

However, it should be pretty easy to check if that unit is stainless or not if it strongly attracts a magnet since most stainless isn't really magnetic and/or try a touch of cold blue on the spots missing paint and see if it blackens.  If its stainless maybe its worth more, I don't know.  Personally as recreational shooter,  I wouldn't pay more for a stainless version unless maybe I lived in Florida and wanted to mount an M2 to a fishing boat or something.  If anything from a terrestrial shooter perspective it would just make a ~30lbs mount weight even heavier for me to move around, in addition to the gun, tripod, ammo, etc.

Good luck with the sale and hope its in good shape and you can snag it for a good price.
