The CEO of Hodgdon is Steven Kehrwald.

He had previously been:

the VP of Shooting Sports at Vista

President of LE, Government, and International Sales at Vista

Director of LE and International Sales at Olin (aka Winchester ammo)

Division Manager for Western US and Canada sales for Beretta

National Account Manager for Federal Cartridge Company.

It looks like Kehrwald took over as CEO of Hodgdon back in June of 2007.

See the part circled in red below:

Maybe I am just slow today.  I haven’t had any caffeine yet, but for me, this is where it gets confusing:

So he was CEO at Hodgdon while also working at Olin (2007 to 2010)?

And was still CEO at Hodgdon while also working in various positions for Vista (2010 to 2017)?

You need to re read your own stuff for your answer.

None of that contradicts what I posted (VISTA DOES NOT OWN HODGDON).
In fact, I have no idea what your post is supposed to mean other than their current CEO used to work at Vista.
I would assume that based on his contacts at Vista, he had an inside track at buying RCBS when Vista wanted to sell it.

I have heard or read of some big wig corporate types being on the Board of Directors at one company and then being on the BoD of say a non-profit.  Or multiple non-profits.

But I have never heard/red of an exec at one company being an exec or CEO at another company simultaneously.

At first when I saw the “2017”  date I thought it was a typo.

So that naturally got me wondering who is the CEO or plant manager at the St. Marks gunpowder company.  Or General Dynamics, since General Dynamics owns the St. Marks powder company.

Is there some exec at Vista who is also an exec at St. Marks/General Dynamics?

So I went to google.  This article from 2006 caught my eye:

I am obviously NOT a lawyer, but there is this:

Attachment Attached File

The Clayton Act, Section 8 .

As a side note, I work for Big Oil.  I am just a very little cog in a much bigger conglomeration of cogs of varying sizes.

But every year, I have to sign honor/ethics paperwork that say I have NOT violated any laws, policies, rules that could be construed as say insider stock trading and/or receiving gifts from contractors, etc. basically anything that could look like impropriety.

I think you have your years mixed up. The way I read the article he started at Hodgdons in 2017, the story has a publish date of 2017.

Where are you seeing he started in 2007?

Whoops!

I’m a retard.

I can take my tin foil hat off.

I didn’t have my glasses on this morning while I typed that in.  (It sucks getting old).

I thought the shooting illustrated article was from 2007.

Dee-ta-dee-dee…herp and derp.

Look on the bright side, at least it is not Ron Cohen taking over as CEO of Hodgdon and RCBS.

Cohen was the guy who drove Kimber’s rep straight into the toilet.  He jumped ship to become the CEO of Sig.  And Sig’s reputation hasn’t exactly been stellar since he took the reigns.

And as a side note, I kinda know or knew the guy from Cerebrus who was buying up all the gun companies.  He was a junior at USAFA when I was a freshman.  He’d put his freshman through sweat parties every evening until academic call to quarters.  EDIT:  then he cross commissioned to the Navy and became a SEAL.
