Just done with modding this parametric washer stamping design for a Machine Bushing that is ? inch ID and 1 ? inch OD, 1mm thick. Yeah, I just mixed my units, what you gonna do about it.     I had to manually adjust the width of the punch shaft as the punch set I got from bezoville was too wide to fit in the default design. I'll upload and post the links to the free STL's for the design that matches that punch set after a couple more tweaks. |

I clicked on this because I need to mark a few barrels and perhaps some lowers. A mini engraver or cheaper laser that would go to proper depth would be excellent. I don't like the hammer stamp method. I have stamped propane tanks and car frames. I wouldn't attempt that on firearms. |

I do mine with the salt water etching process. Stencils from dogfightink.com. Has to be bare metal though. Attached File |

how do you don't bend the tube doing this? Do you put a round stock inside of it? I figure it bend the tube slightly if I poured it with a stamp? I used to have access to a hand held dot pean engraver that did pretty good. |
