It doesn't feel like the blemishes were post-production, but I don't know enough to say that for sure. In any case, I'm not hoping for any further information, just sharing the image because tubes are cool :) Thank you again for your thoughts. View Quote Looks to perform like a very nice tube. I would just use and enjoy it. Lots of NV snobs are all about high spec tubes with data sheets. I have those tubes but really enjoy my no name bargain tubes that just work and work well for a fraction of the price. Nice tube ! |

It is milspec but missing contract number. When you have it powered put your ear up against scope and tell me if you hear a faint whine. Should be a nice tube. I don't believe it to be gated. |

New to the NV game - I've done some digging but can't find much info. If anyone can help ID/confirm them that would be greatly appreciated!
Tube 1: ITT 272069-8 DC 0917 Tube 2: MX10160C/AVS-6 ID NO. 13547-277177 EXP. NOV21 CAD 1840 CAGE 13567 No clue about the first tube besides seeing MUM14 tubes marked KM 272069-8. For the second tube I think its a OMNI7 and I know 10160C is a "high-performance" tube. Thank you in advance! Edit: found out that Tube 1 is a civilian tube. This thread is very helpful once I read through all the posts lol. |

Can anyone help me identify the type of tubes in this anvis 9 from this picture?
Looking to buy these but don't know the details. Thanks https://imgur.com/a/ldy7TOq |

Looking for any light anybody can shed on a tube I just got (which is currently non-functional).
Based on the most similar tubes in this thread, I'm thinking: maybe it's a Russian tube of some kind? Or maybe a repot or an AEO or something like it. On the side it says "091014033347" and on the pigtail it says "LTE" (in a box) and "1807". Oh, and it came out of what looks like an ITT PVS-14 housing. There is a spot on the housing where an ID plate was removed. Searching for LTE yielded some results for some ACTInBlack "PVS-14LTE"s which have an ID plate in the right spot, but other than seeing that they have European made tubes, that has been a search dead end for me. Pictures (maybe, imgur is being weird): https://imgur.com/a/kud8XXa Edit: looking like it's an NAIT repot. |

Need some help fellas. Tube labeled NV5050-XG7 I saw in this thread possibly an Everest tube. Is that accurate?
Where can I get tool to tighten retainer ring? **I'll answer my own question: It is an EVEREST aviation tube. Tool to tighten the ring is cut down gift card or the like or buy the tool from ebay.** |

Not sure if it's NGEOS, L3, or litton. Wanting to know what tube it is and specs if possible. https://imgur.com/a/UKL7teG

I would guess Elbit Silver bullet tube. ANVIS MX 10160A.. Probably Omni IV-VI range.

I can't find much on these tube. Only reference to them is from this site. Does it have a pigtail?
"Very late Everest Series" Edit: I did find something. Everest tubes are Pinnacle tubes with a programmable power supply. I can't post the link I found to the pinnacle specs but if you use the WayBack Machine and punch in this link you will find them: http://www.exelisinc.com/solutions/Image-Intensifier-Tubes/Documents/Exelis-Image-Intensifier-Tube-F9800-Series.pdf I "believe" it will be somewhere in this neighborhood: TubeContract lp/mm uA/lm @830 @880 SNR Gain>Gain< FOM EBI MTF25 BLR Halo Comments F9815VG 64 2000 -- 80 25 4000080000 1600 2.5 38 36 1 Pinnacle |

thank you ! So did I do ok then ? I've spent the last few months instant messaging with dozens of Chinese producers (probably just sales people) trying to get them to just sell me a tube for their own advertised prices, it seems they have all made their advertisements a year or more ago and now our Dollar doesn't carry the same weight, they all want hundreds more then what is advertised, I would have paid double what I paid for this tube just for a tube that doesn't have manual gain or auto-gain with a tube of 1400 fom.
Does any of the info on the tube or packaging tell FOM or who manufactured it ? or are those three stats the only things available with what I was able to provide? |

The specs I posted above will tell you the minimum FOM, not actual, as those are the minimum the Omni-VIII contract had to meet to fulfill the requirements. 64x25=1600FOM minimum. |

View Quote Thank you, I appreciate your help. To be honest it wasn't cheap, I paid $1700 for the tube. My original plan was to build my first device for the experience and I had the intention of using a used or slightly blemished tube or even a Chinese tube to save money and just dip my toe into this world, I had bought the housing months ago from Superior Tactical so I was kinda already locked into going this route, overall it seems I could have bought one from a vendor and had a warranty but like I said I originally wanted to piece together a unit using a Chinese housing and a used/blemished tube or Chinese tube , but dealing with some of the folks selling that gear was more trouble then it was worth, plus the prices weren't far off from where I ended up. |
|
|
The Chinese PVS14 housing was around $450 before shipping and taxes, so I decided to go with a Milspec US made housing from Superior Tactical for just a few hundred more, then same thing with the tube, I was only saving a few hundred dollars all said and done if I'd bought one of the used or blemished tubes I was researching, and all the dozens of chinese vendors I messaged with had a sliding price scale depending on the tube ie. white/green phosphor, autogated, manual gain, FOM ,anything over 1600FOM and they all wanted close to $3k after the included tax and shipping. Right before I pulled the trigger on a Chinese Tube with all the features I wanted I found this seller on Ebay, with basically a brand new unopened tube for half the price of what I was gonna pay for all the same features from a Chinese vendor. I might not have went the super cheap route I had planned but I'm very happy with the function and clarity of this tube.

If anyone can help, I’d like some help ID’ing these tubes from a PVS-15. Contract issued in 09 but no NSN or ID # which is something I’ve not seen before. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi, I've found this one for sales and I was wondering what kind of tube is. When turned on there is a distinct whine, it's gated and has autogain.
Also, with what kind of tube can be paired in a binos? https://i.imgur.com/QQc7txp.jpeg |
