I used Krylon Almond colored spray paint and it is an almost perfect match for the OEM scale color. |

Setting it up now. Forgot you need a device to run an app, to run the machine. no problem: -I have an old iPAD 2 (very old), that I don't use. Wait - no, App won't install as too old. -I have a Kindle Fire, that should be perfect. Wait - no App in Kindles store. -I have a reloading-room Windows miniPC with dual monitors hovering over my reloading station, I'll just run it on Windows via Windows App store. Wait - no Microsoft app. Sigh... OK, I can put it on my phone, but I'd rather not have my phone be my reloading interface system. I wonder, is the .APK file accessible somewhere, that I can just force it onto the Kindle Fire? |

To be fair it may cost as much as half your firearms.  I have never regretted buying it, or buying a LabRadar. I've also never regretted dropping literal thousands on custom molded electronic earplugs. The super premium toys really take the enjoyment of the hobby to the next level. |

Got my shipping notification today so I’m hoping to get it up and running next week. Been seeing some folks with issues over in the big thread on Snipers Hide, but I’m guessing it’s a small minority compared to the number of total V4 users. Fingers crossed. Any tips for fast and consistent throws? |

I sold my upgraded V2 to V3 and scale and will be receiving an entirely new unit. The V2/V3 certainly had a learning curve so I was planning to read through and go through the scale settings again myself to ensure the interface is correct. Seems that has tripped some folks up. Then I’ll try it with a few different powders and see if a happy medium setting can be found. Have you had to switch up the settings when switching powders, or just set it and forget it going from ball to flake to extruded stick powders? |

Every time you switch powders, you run an automated calibration process. That allows the AT to know how much powder falls at speed, and can adjust the algorithm accordingly. It's pretty slick. You can find tune it for a bit more speed as well. |

Anybody that wants it will need to IM me and ask for it and if I recognize you as an active member here I'll send it. Sorry...I'm just over people taking my designs. I'll probably end up listing them for sale as well. Was hoping to avoid having to sell them but I'm not okay with other people printing them and selling them. |

(Via phone - so typos) Now that I have run several hundred rounds, I have to say this thing is great. I run it factory bare-stock. I like the open look of the original clear panels personally, and am not seeing any fugitive kernels landing on the pan anyway, and I like the Shiney metal look personally. I suppose the panels make the Green LED easier to see, which is indeed a bit dim. Coming over from an original RCBS charge master (with the reprogramming and the McDonald's straw), this unit is about twice as fast, and tends to hit target a lot more reliably. Running an 80 gr bullet with 23.1 gr 8208, my chargemaster would be 23.05 to 23.14. I run this guy now at 23.10-23.12; it's that precise. (The green-light at 23.08, I'd manually hit the +0.01gr button, worked great). At that tight of a throw range, I'd reject and rerun 1 in 4 dumps, at most. And since twice the speed, no problem. Speaking of which, running this V4 I have to hustle and up my game more. You let it run while you put case in press, put bullet on top, ram bullet half way down, rotate. Finish the seating all the way down. Put cartridge in ammo box. Pick up next primed casing, put funnel on, reach over confirm powder drop reading, pick up powder and pour into casing. Put casing in press, put powder cup back into press, observe that it goes back to zero Repeat. With chargmaster you would go slow and the RCBS unit was still the slowest part. With this unit, I am the slowest part now, that's awesome. BTW, definately pay attention to assure it goes back to zero when you put the cup back on. I had one run where I adjusted a foot, thought it was zeroed, ran a charge, put the cup back on, and it read -2 gr. Hmmm. Sure as that, I pulled that round apart and saw it was 2 gr overcharged. Not the V4's fault, as I had done a mechanical change to the setting - just a watch for that - exactly as said in the instructions The mechanical aspects are very well thought out. I really like how easy it is to drain and swap powders. The chargmaster is just utterly awful in that regard by comparison - and can very easily result in cross contamination of powders. This rig is way better. Love it. |
