Hey guys! Sorry - I've been so busy at work I haven't updated this thread in nearly a year. I ended up working a LOT in the spring, and summer, got promoted, and things just stayed busy. I'm nearly done with the fully updated design. I'll share the files with the regulars here. You will need a 3D printer and some mechanical ability to assemble it.         Just waiting on one more voltage converter as the ones I ordered last year were the wrong ones. They sent me boost converters instead of buck converters and I never checked. Whoops. Stay tuned gang. Sorry for the long delay.

One step closer! Finally got the side panels made, designed an organizer for the top too!   It will require a printer capable of 200mm x 240mm. So the Prusa MK3S+/MK4, and the Bambu A1/P1P/P1S/X1C will all be able to print this, among others too of course.

Thanks, I might just try printing in sections with alignment tabs and see if that works, first. When release?

I'm going to work on getting the STLs cleaned up a bit, and getting the code finalized. There is one final tweak I'm working on. trying to get the geometry to be perfect on the hopper/drum interface. I want there to not be a million drum sizes, I was originally thinking 10, 12, 14, and 16mm should fit just about everything. However, 10 is a little tight for .223 for example, but 12 binds a bit. Some I'm playing with tolerances and angles to see if I can get it to work. If not, I might need to do 1mm increments on the drum size. Just playing around a bit first. I hope it won't be too long though, a week or two at most I'm hoping. Time will tell with how busy work gets.

Personally, I'm probably just going to use it strictly for bulk 223 and 300 blk conversions. Everything else I shoot or ever plan to shoot, I've got the AMP and specific collets for. |

Hello I am new to this Forum and I got here from your other post with the BIG Orange BOX post with pictures. I just purchased a Bambu A1 and I would love to make this a project (as I flame anneal currently). I posted a comment on your Youtube channel and figured I would post here also. Would you by chance share your 3D files and parts list with other fellow DIY'ers? I would really like to make one of these for personal use. Thank you in ADVANCE !!!! GREAT WORK !!! Sincerely Mike |

Hey Mike, Honestly I kind of stopped messing with this. Right around the time I was redesigning it to fit the newer induction units (the one I designed around has a thinner heatsink and newer ones don't fit) somebody came out with a substantially similar one to where they either looked at my design and copied it 1 for 1 or we just had the same thoughts, as it uses the same inductor, same tank, same hopper design, etc, and was selling for less than I can even buy the parts for on Amazon. Itay have actually been shared in this thread, I would have to go back and look. It's literally still sitting on my workbench half taken apart where it has been this whole time. Sadly, with Tarrifs being in effect this project got exponentially more expensive. I think before Tarrifs it was close to $200 in parts. Now it's quite a bit more than that. I can also tell you that an A1 won't work to print this. Some of the parts around the annealer should be printed in ASA otherwise the case will melt it. You can try PETG but you may emd up with a gummy mess. Some have had luck printing ASA on an A1 by putting it in an enclosure of sorts. The issue is ASA will warp off the bed without an enclosure, especially flat parts, which these are. If you run a skirt, no fan, and put it in an enclosure you might be okay but Bambu does NOT advise this as the A1 electronics were not meant to be in a hot ambient environment like the P and X series are. I'll dust this off this month if I can and get the STLs up in MakerWorld with a comprehensive parts list. Shouldn't take too much to redesign hopefully. |

WOWZERS Thank you for the quick reply. I was going to buy a new Burstfire Induction annealer, but since I bought the 3d PRINTER - I kind of want to make one myself. Im not sure if its any cheaper but the fact that I am going to make this myself would be great. I would be happy to PM you about some of the parts the A1 wont print and the STL files. The printer in enroute as we speak so its not a huge hurry Please feel free to PM me and we can go from there. Thanks much AGAIN Mike |
