I bought a new KAC NT4 PRG can a few months ago and finally had the chance to shoot it. Simply put it’s fantastic.

The rifle I shot it on has an 11.5” chrome lined Criterion core barrel under a URX4 rail with a standard carbine gas tube, standard colt bolt group, and the lower has a standard carbine receiver extension, with milspec recoil spring and h3 buffer.

It has zero gas to the face, a nice low tone, subjectively very quiet. And while 5.56 doesn’t have any significant recoil to speak of, it really softens recoil too making follow up shots a little subjectively faster. I’m a big fan.

Nice! I’ve been considering getting an NT4-PRG can for a while now. Any idea how it compares in tone, gas transfer, etc. (very subjective, I realize) to the welded NT4?

I don’t have any experience with the legacy nt4.

It’s a solid can for sure. I have both and prefer the newer one to run but looks of the original.
