Probably many topics here I haven't investigated. My story: Bought a used matching SN set of HK MK23 pistol and can and the can blew off the first time I fired it. WTF ? Stripped threads on the can . Remember they threaded the barrel; MATCHED SET. Contacted KAC. They wanted over $100plus shipping just to LOOK at the problem. Not to fix their F up but to LOOK at their F up. Parts and labor sure to come. This is supposed to be the top notch-end all-money no object manufacturer. Buyer beware. |

So you’re saying you spent some money to get a Mk23 (that is factory threaded, btw) with a matching KAC Mk23 Suppressor and the can blew off. But you’re unhappy that you have to pay the shipping back to the home base for them to look at your used, second hand (or maybe more) equipment? Tell me you’re new to this by less words. Send it back to them, eat the shipping and let them have a look at it. |

Sorry you’re going through it. I’ve owned/sold a lot of KAC products and have never really been impressed or ecstatic about their offerings. I'm not following how the can "blew off". The barrel is threaded by HK in M16x1 RH. I believe KAC also makes piston for the USPT in M16x1 RH, but doubt you would be able to even get it on a Mk23 barrel. Or do you mean the can shot off, leaving the piston still threaded on the barrel? That would make more sense, and would indicate that the piston end cap wasn't fully screwed on. |

And how do you know the can has stripped threads? Did it felt funny when you threaded the can onto the barrel? If it did felt funny (stripped threads) why did you shot it anyway? |

How were you not able to identify stripped threads at the time of suppressor installation? That would be rather obvious and would make one stop any attempted install and not shoot the gun. KAC would not have threaded the mk23 barrel. Those are factory threaded. As others have said, it’s a used firearm and suppressor. Your story of stripped threads doesn’t really sound plausible. How is KAC to know if it’s a manufacturing defect or user error? Truly this sounds like user error. $100 plus shipping is an annoyance, but what are your other options? Are you going to cut off your nose to spite your face? Don’t be foolish or stubborn. Just send it in and let KAC look it over. |

While shitty, it sounds like business as usual at KAC. You're not Gov/Mil, so they don't give a rat's ass about you or anything you have. They've never been supportive of the civilian market, the second amendment, or anything related to shooting sports outside of military and police competitions. It's unfortunate, but because people want "the look", they need to pay the price, and honestly $100 is pretty low for them to even talk with you let alone look at something. |
| wait, you bought a used gun and suppressor and the first time you shot it the suppressor flew off the barrel? I don't think it is a manufacturing defect I would go back to the guy that screwed it up |
I wish I was half the man my dog thinks I am.

Back 6 years ago they rmaed my ambi lower terrible internal anodizing defect and then rmaed THAT lower because it wouldn't drop gen 3 pmags. Finally ended up with a lower that was anodized inside and could drop all mags. When my CRS-PRT wouldn't fit on my CQB upper without shimming they sent me a new QDC collar free. I bought all this stuff brand new....but my warranty experience with them has never cost me anything and turn around has been quick. |

For comparison, I have a URXII rail I bought second hand that had the heat shield removed, I was quoted like $200 to look at it and possibly fix it by the service desk. To further opine on the OP; On a certain level, because zero pics are provided, I don't believe what is being presented. My guess is that OP got taken in some way by an unscrupulous seller on the second hand market and is now blaming KAC because he was already fucked over and doesn't even know it. Advice to the OP, post some pics up and go from there. If the parts are what you say they are(even partially) there is still a lot of value there that can be recovered. |

OP will show KAC by never buying anything made by them again after complaining about a product he purchased on the second hand market that has problems that he cannot at the time attribute to anything done or caused by KAC. I guess like all successful businesses, KAC should offer free services, warranty work, parts, and an apology for problems with one of their products that is currently owned by someone that they didn’t even sell said product directly to. I’m sure that KAC is super going to miss him. |

I had a 14.5" Mod 2 Upper, (with a Keymod URX4 so it was one of the earlier ones) and it started having a weird failure to feed. I ruled out that it was the upper and KAC sent me an RMA for it. I did have to pay to ship it to them, but once they got it they said that they couldn't figure out what was wrong with it. They also said they were going to just send me a replacement upper. I asked if they could swap out the Keymod handguard for an MLOK version and got no reply. A few days later a brand new Mod 2 MLOK upper showed up at my door. It was shitty I got a lemon the first time, but I can't say that their CS sucked. ETA: this was before they discontinued their Keymod uppers. |

Let's start a Go Fund me to get this can in and let KAC look at it since pics aren't being posted. They maybe we can get Trey to post the findings here. ETA: I'm really curious about this alleged failure! |

Unfortunately the OP ran for the caves in Tora Bora after being cock-kicked, or maybe cunt-kicked (can’t presume anything nowadays), all up and down this thread. We will probably never know. |

Attached File Did you check to make sure it has the official KAC mk23 logo on it?
