I was wondering about the extremely “affordable” price I’ve seen on TVS-2’s. I have zero experience with them and if I bought one it would probably be used by the kids for looking at critters. I have a pair of 7’s with a magnifier, but it’s off limits to the kids. Whats y’all’s thoughts on them?

Given the size::performance of more modern options, the TVS-2 probably has more value as a collectors' piece and historical artifact than as a functional night vision device.
Being in Canada, I can understand the caution with your PVS-7, but remember, it was designed specifically for infantrymen, give the kids (a supervised) try.   ~Augee |

I remember those coming on 50 cal mounts, not a very good sight.
