Is there a time frame for completion?

If I submit a form 1 is there a time frame to complete the item or can I just collect pieces a little at a time after I get it until I'm ready?

I have at least one from 9 or 10yrs ago, just sitting around.
Finished one last month that was approved 5yrs ago
