I bought an sr15 11.5 upper from a buddy and it didn’t have a muzzle device so I threw the extra KAC flash hider I had laying around on it. Used the KAC shim set and noticed they don’t fully seat flush on the 90 degree shoulder but a little bit forward of what looks like a radius even after torquing to spec. Anyone else’s like that or is this one abnormal? |

| It's not ideal and could potentially be bad if you plan on running a can. I'd grab one of these to clear the radius. |

If I recall, most of my OEM KAC devices looked like that from the factory. Frankly I change them almost immediately, so its been a while since I've seen one, but KAC does indeed use flat shims and not any with beveled edges. If it bothers you, grab a SF shim kit. They come with a beveled spacer specifically for barrels like that. |
