The only thing I don't like about my new SCAR 16 NRCH is the wobble of the charging handle when inserted into the sled. I think they could have designed a more robust system, as I fear it will be a wear point after some use. I'm only up to 300 rounds on it, so I have a ways to go, and I'm waiting for my new can. |

So I now have 150 or so rounds of causal shooting through my SCAR 16s with this new charging handle. Thoughts: 1. It still wobbles while inserted into the sled. This is a fault of FN and not KDG. The factory handle also wobbles. I doubt this will affect function but I find it disconcerting on a $3000 rifle. 2. The extra length and angulation works well. I do not find that it interferes with my VCAS sling, but I have been unable to get to my club’s range where I can shoot behind barricades etc. 3. I feel it allows for a more effective “push” when you need to charge the handle forward (forward assist function) than the factory handle. Overall so far so good. Need more real range time.
