I haven't found it getting hot. Sure it is a little hot but I use it for some three gun and have found my shot gun gets far worse off than that does. Would depend on the round count I suppose as well if you are out bump firing it would probably get a bit rough but I generally wear a glove on my reaction hand and haven't had much trouble.
There are a few tri guard ones that have rails that you could throw covers on for the same type of feel. This one balances out the rifle when loaded very well though and I like it. |

I was going to wait untill I got it refinished before posting photos but I decided you guys might want a peek of what it looks like now. This rifle used to be owned by Hart1 (he is a member on HKpro and WG). He designed a weld in modification for the use of AR15 mags in the 93 and this was his prototype. The rifle was built from a Malaysian parts kit with a 1 in 7" twist rate RCM US barrel and a Special Weapons US reciever. Hart1 pressed the barrel and sent the upper to ghilliebear on HKpro to do the welding. ghilliebear also added a modification to make the mag adapter function with the mag paddle release and finished it with a light grey park job (because Hart1 had intended to paint the rifle later). The rifle has approximately 50rds to 60rds down the tube for testing purposes. The bolt gap is at 0.018 . I really am looking forward to taking this to the range when it warms up a little. According to another member of HKpro who has the only other rifle built with this mag adaptor it functions well with several different mags. He has put approximately 2000rds through his rifle and says the conversion works great. Also ghilliebear tested it with I think four different types of AR15 mags including the MAG-PUL P mags. When I purchased the rifle it had a US made black MP5 stock and a PTR aluminum forearm. So far I have added a wide German olive drab forearm and a olive drab FMP A2 stock. I am going to add a steel clipped and pinned HK lower with a US made olive drab pistol grip when RTG gets more in stock. I will also be buying some olive drab MAG-PUL P mags for it (in the photos I have forest green p mags from my AR in it). I will have the rifle refinshed with a dark parkerized finish. However most of this will have to wait a while. I am going to refinish a set of HK wood furniture for it too. 922r parts: 1) RCM US made 1 in 7" twist rate 16" barrel 2) US reciever 3) US Navy style lower (I will change this to a steel lower with a US made olive drab pistole grip when I can) 4,5 and 6) US made AR15 mags (follower, body, floorplate) 7) Hammer http://img593.imageshack.us/img593/3835/1007454.jpg http://img339.imageshack.us/img339/8995/1007464.jpg |

Originally Posted By mah827: Is that a laptop case? Great idea for a MP5/HK94. Yep, that's a laptop bag. The hard part was finding one that will accomodate the 19" length. This one is from Targus and it's for laptops up to 18.4 inches. Most of the laptop bags I've come across are for 15 or 17" monitors. I got lucky with the fit on this one. |

Thank you. No problems with the MKE magazines at all.

I'm planning on taking it out again this weekend and running a few hundred rounds though it. It is damn fun to shoot, there is practically no recoil. Almost feels like a rimfire. |
