Nice build....go full retro and throw a good wood stock set on it!

I purchased it used but from the sellers description and looking it over in person:

PTR 91 BW serial# receiver
Rim County Mfg. CHF barrel
Anti-rattle paddle
SEF lower (clipped & pinned)
Kongsberg semi-auto bolt carrier w/ PTR bolt head
Trigger job (very little creep and a nice break, probably a hair under 5#)
US made flash hider (replacing with HK model w/ c-clip)
Furniture is surplus Jungle Green with OD pistol grip

New rifle, crappy pics. It's a 5/89 PARS Intl. Portuguese XG3S I found at the gun show today.

Came with two stocks and mags, but I bought 20 brand new aluminum mags for $80.

I'd rather not say because I may have overpaid. Under $2000 but more than $1200.

Same rifle, slightly less crappy pics taken in the rain today at the range. Cool, grey and rainy weather made for a quiet range trip, as it kept the usual dummies away.

I ran 100 rounds of Chinese steel-cased ammo and 60 rounds of S. African through the rifle. At first the gun was VERY stiff, and I had to slingshot the bolt open and closed with a loaded mag, rather than just slapping the cocking handle shut. The parkerizing on the gun is quite rough in texture, and there was some old, thick grease in the cocking tube that I missed. Once the gun warmed up it shot and handled just like it should, and I'm giving it a bath now.

IJH....nice rifle!  I think the FMP are great rifles and probably have seen more real world use and abuse than any other G3.  Lots of them still soldiering on in Africa.  As far as price goes, I would not be ashamed to pay $1500-1600 for a nice one plus the cost of collapsable stock.

I got it out-the-door, both stocks, and 22 mags for $1800. Not a steal but not bad, either.

How did you get that to fit? I have an Octane 9 HD on it's way and would love to have a similar setup. I have the old style surefire bezel that is bigger and I don't think it will clear.

I don't think there is anyway the old one will work. For this one I grinded a little on the light and drilled a little on the mounting hole to drop the forearm down a little.

SO NATO.

Picked up this SAR 3 (/8 overstamp) in a trade for an Elcan SpecterDR.

It came with:
The crappy knob thing removed from the muzzle (real flash hider is installed)
Tac-latch installed
Collapsible installed
Port buffer installed
extra grips
some misc small parts inc. carry handle
20 mags, 15 or so of which are HK marked
Spare black polymer stock
Spare wood stock
Spare wide black foregrip

Tiny bit of wear because it must have had something mounted before, but bore and action are in excellent condition (bore is very shiny and bright)

All in all I think I came out even or even ahead by a fair bit. Did these have the polygonally rifled barrels, or did EBO make them with something else?

Finally got Stamp back.  80% Lower I finished, then had laser engraved with actual 416 Markings.  Geissele 416 SSF trigger.  KAC  Ambi selectors.  Surefire Mini-Scout on S&S precision offset mount.  L3 PEQ-2A.  Trijicon ACOG 4X32.  Found some .mil type QR Stickers and threw them on the lower.  Kind of on the fence about the stickers, but they do add somewhat of a "clone" value.  KAC Sling mount.  Surefire FA762K Suppressor.  KAC Ambi sling mount end plate.  All of the ambi stuff is because I shoot rifle left.

Just got my USC, LOVE it. Also just got the 4 pos UMP lower (need to re-color the selector markings) and will be getting a rear UMP section and stock later this month. On my way to a conversion!

Proudly added the very first two HK45s (one full frame and one HK45C) ever arrived in Italy. At the time I am the first Italian owning these.
Pictured them with brothers and sisters.
