I am in the process of purchasing a M16a1 from a member here. He lives in Texas and I live in TN. My SOT is in TN. What should I anticipate shipping to be from there to here via registered and insured USPS? Thanks in advance.

Other than the insured value, its exactly the same as shipping any other firearm of the same weight and dimensions. Is the seller charging you some extraordinary fee for shipping? Considering the price of a machine gun, shipping cost is inconsequential. |

Nothing exorbitant. Just thought someone would chime in quickly, but not an issue. We got it worked out. $34k insurance and registered mail was right @ $200.

Sounds right.
Now just don't freak out when USPS doesn't update tracking for a few days after it ships.

And if the firearm is going through the St. Louis Mo. area and has to go through the Hazelwood facility, don't be surprised if it decides to stay there for a week or so.
