Any suggestions on how to modernize (optic rail, light & switch setup) this old M1S90? Any handguard options worth mentioning?

I don't know if you can call it modernization, but I put a Surefire integrated light handguard on my gun. I like the looks and its a clean install. I got an LED light to replace the halogen bulb that came with it. I found it cheap on the EE a few years ago, I don't think that is the case anymore. At the time, it was significantly less money than getting a decent light and a separate mount. |

Mine was a H&K marked gun which further blew peoples minds. |

Only thing I would do is add a clamp on Mlok section to the tube for a light. I guess you also could have the receiver tapped for an optic mount. GG&G has economical mount options for the light, not sure who to talk to about tapping the receiver. Or do like what was mentioned above and buy an A300UP. |

I was early to the 1301 mod2 party and scored one mid to late last year. This M1 came from a family friend so I'm a little torn with the idea of getting rid of it

Also added some TTI upgrades (extended carrier, bolt release, charging handle, spring kit, follower) and shortened the LOP. GG&G side sling forward mount and magpul sling w/QD on both ends so it's easy to remove. |
