No The puteaux has lots of little complicated parts that don’t seem to like sand and grit. I cleaned the trigger linkage and it’s working fine now but it will probably bind up after a few dozen shots.

SATURDAY 8:00am- Vendor setup 9:00am- Main line shooter setup 10:00am- Gates open for attendees 10:30am- safety brief and opening ceremony 11:00am- Ranges Hot 2:00pm- 40mm competition 4:30pm- Cease fire 5:00pm- Mortar competition 6:00pm- Demonstrations (cannons, flamethrower, etc) 7:30pm- Night shoot safety brief 8:00pm- Night shoot starts 11:00pm- Event ends |

Back home safe, had a blast Still bitter about shooting the 40mm comp and getting schooled by the guy who shot a perfect score with a 203 pirate pistol with iron sights lol My consolation is it looked like his hand was hurting Anyways good shooting Tex hope you’re an arfbro! All in all this was my first big shoot and you guys did a great jobl

I wanted to come because I’m just a day trip away. Then some ugly weather two weeks ago tore off three of my roofs, including one on a commercial building I own. I’m a landlord. That killed that.  A friend went. When I asked how it was, he texted back “Really felt like early days knob creek.” That is TALL praise coming from him. Then he sent a list of what showed that he saw: 2 miniguns 3 puteaux 2 37mm 4-6 20mm 10+ mortars 3-4 odd cannons 10+ 40mm 5 kpv’s 14.5 3 stoners Who knows what else Roofs or not, I’m coming next year. Someone also posted this in GD:  Big Bore Blast 2026 #bigboreblast @ChevTecGroup |

Leaky recoil mech) 2 or 3 MK19 grenade machine guns At least half a dozen M2 50bmgs 75mm pack howitzer Quad and single mount KPVs A couple odd cannons Roughly 10 mortars (mostly 60mm and an 81mm or two) 2 anzio 20mm guns Lahti 20mm 20mm Carl gustav recoil less rifle Bowling Ball Mortar Stoner63, Beretta 93r, dual 50 cal spotter rifles on a custom mount, and a ton of different more "common" MGs throughout. I heard a couple people also describe it as feeling like "the early days of KCR" which warmed my heart a bit. One person on Facebook called it a "knock-off knob creek." I'll take that as a compliment haha |

Want to say thanks to everyone. This event was great and I was amazed by the folks who recognized my son and me. It was really cool seeing folks from the first year and speaking with ya'll and new folks i met. I really appreciate there being a 40mm range open the whole time that I could shoot at. And the competition was really fun to participate in. My phone is stroking on me hard and so video and photo quality is poor, but I did piece together a very short video of a few shooters at the competition. It would be neat if someone could video record the 40mm and mortar competitions next year for folks to watch. https://youtu.be/8CkwAu44EIY I'm don't recall if one was said at the first shoot, but having a prayer said at the beginning of the shoot this year was greatly appreciated. |

Though the first weekend in May could be an option as well. While weather will always be iffy then, its something I think we can usually overcome and get better at dealing with. Next year we will have the vendors back at the pavilion and more room to navigate around the range. Also, plan on both friday and Saturday for the next shoot. Maybe a little into Sunday but undecided on that |

Yes friday and Saturday. 23rd and 24th. Friday will likely start in the early afternoon. Saturday will be similar to the last shoot but not go as late. Sunday will be cleanup for those that are still around. I already have a lot more cannon shooters asking for spots. Those that have attended the last 2 years will have a little leg up on securing positions. |

Yes I believe that range will stay the same. Though we may try to put a car on that range as a fun/practice target as long as we can get enough for the main line. Bengles had some help back out at the last minute this year. So hopefully we will have enough staff to keep it open all the time next year. I bet AZOA would like to move to that range and be able to shoot their RPGs at it too. He already said he would buy a car for one of the bays. |

We will take any targets that have scrap value and dont make a mess when shot up. A scrapper cleans the range after events, anything else is our problem and some things can be a huge hassle. |
