Trying to value a nice original finish( uncut, receiver), matching gun. Early erma, ayf41, slab side mag housing. barrel has freckled bore. Gun runs well. Have a few spare parts, bolt, extractors, firing pin tube, 2 mags. Gun has been in family for 40 years, time to move on, thanks for replies.

A minority have them but are not 'rare' per say

| Out of my complete ignorance - What was the primary reason the MP40 had a threaded barrel? - Rather advanced /different for the time I doubt they were planning on wide use of suppressors - Maybe flash hiders? but rather expensive and time consuming to thread for only that potential reason. |

I believe mostly for installation of the 'around the corner of the building' curved, u-channel used in urban fighting. MHO, YMMV, etc. |
