So I just got myself a new suppressor and want to grab another lever action in 357 because my Henry isn’t threaded. I really want a Marlin 1894 Dark but just don’t know if I want to wait forever or if I should just go with a Henry for now? Any thoughts about when we will see the supply loosen up for this model? |

I don’t hate my Henry All Weather, the best way I can describe it is that it was the best option at the time given that Marlin wasn’t really a thing at the time of purchase. It shoots nicely with the two boxes of rounds I put down the pipe but getting the barrel threaded isn’t an option and the aftermarket support for the model just isnt there. I had a Marlin Trapper in hand when I picked up the can the other day and it just felt better than my Henry. I may pick it up for an interim solution and offload the Henry If I had the X in 357 or the Henry Hush seriesI probably wouldn’t be looking until the Darks were easy to find. I will take a look at the S&W mentioned above as well. |

I stopped into the LGS and they had an 1854 Stealth Hunter in 357 that felt pretty good in my hands. I’m doing some more research but I may snag it in the next week or so because I’m liking what I read so far. I’m trying not to be too impulsive because of how bad I want to shoot suppressed 38s!! |

I like the way the Smiths feel, but what’s the barrel thread pitch? I’ve got a Henry X in 357 and it’s 5/8-24 so I could just throw a Griffin three lug on it.

Well, ended up with the Smith 1854 Stealth Hunter and am super happy, especially shooting 38s through the Omega 36M. Only have a box down the pipe but this is going to be a fun gun! |

Bought a Henry X 44mag and was a major disappointment. Accuracy was horrible. Tried numerous factory loads and reloads. Including a known super accurate load I have been using for decades. Which works great in pistols and rifles. 4-6 moa at best. On sand bags on a solid shooting bench. Rifle went to the local gun show and got dumped like all other inaccurate rifles. |
