Got 3 pounds on the way. Reading on how to store. Mine will be in the basement. I ready several times not to store in metal containers. Ammo box. Any validity to that , who knows. But I found a sealed container that will hold a lot of 1 pound BP bottles. Here it is. The lid has a seal . $20. Wardawg Attached File

My understanding is that you don't want to store it in anything that can hold pressure.

I store mine in the factory containers placed inside of an old wooden, hinged lid ammo crate. I removed the hasp so the lid cannot seal.

I've got 5 lbs in the original cans stored in the cardboard box it was shipped in.

Not a black powder expert but is each container itself not sealed? So it's okay to have a sealed container as long as you don't put it in another sealed container?

I would keep it in its original container and not just a random plastic. Some plastic can build up static charge.

Just leave it in the original container. Store in a Cool dry place. No need getting crazy with containers.

Do not store in a heavy metal box that could hold pressure.

Pyrodex is fairly flash insensitive (higher ignition threshold), classifying it as a propellant instead of an explosive.

Like others, I just keep my cans on a shelf in a box, and the box is just to keep things as a unit, not for protection.

If that food vault is waterproof, I'm actually intrigued by it for canoe camping
