| I posted this over on HK Pro a while back. Arfcom is my go to everyday site. I couldn’t find where I posted this here. It’s long. Sorry. Year ago I got one. NIB. Very well made. Very nicely done. It started to jam up on every mag. Few per mag. It could be a chambering jam. It could be a spent case jam. Manufacture states try to run 62 grain to break it in. Also give it 200 rounds. Jammed with supplied USGI mag. I swapped ammo. I swapped different mags. Jammed a few per mag until I put a certain mag in and magically it ran great. I noticed all my USGI mags was being dented by the rifle. Bolt / carrier . It was slowly denting the feed lip down. The magic mag was on Okay mag with a different style feed lip . It was shorter and cut at an angle. The rifle loved it. I took the dented mags and dremmeled them to look just like the okay surefeed mag. Magically they all run great. I probably got 125 rounds through it since then. 100% reliable. I recently looked up original Cetme L mags. Guess what. They have the shortened cut at an angle feed lips. Just like the Okay Surefeed mag. I’m saying all this to help anyone who may have one of these cool rifles. Pictures below. |

Lastly a Spanish issued Cetme L mag. Check out the feed lips. It is made at an angle. Which keeps the bolt from hitting when cycling. IMO. Hope this helps someone who may think they got a lemon. Attached File |

I had a black CETME L with a full stock & a rail. Super smooth shooting rifle, reasonably accurate. Don’t ever recall any reliable issues with the couple hundred rounds I put through it but I used all USGI metal magazines. I had some personal life issues that necessitated selling a 1/3 of my gun collection. Justified selling this rifle because I really want the LC model so I can SBR. If than plan doesn’t pan out I’ll probably eventually buy another CETME L. |

Mag well opened up and backside of bolt relieved to feed better with USGI MAGS. I thought I was buying a Gen 2. I got it Aug 2025. But the bolt was definitely hitting the feed lips. Cool little rifle. It’s still heavy for 556 |
