Putting one together and I do not want to pay Volquartsen, Kidd or Tandem prices. Where can I get a lesser tier of bolt and trigger for the 10/22? I do not mind buying used, but I am asking about new stuff that I can order in this thread. For this build I could literally buy a new 10/22 and strip the needed parts and still be under what Kidd and Volquartsen are charging for a trigger. |

An inexpensive way to improve the trigger is to buy the target hammer for Volquartsen for $50 and polish the sear following this video: Ruger 10/22 Sear Polish I don't know how it compares to the Ruger bx trigger because I don't have one of those. It was a large improvement over stock when I did it. Kidd does sell just the trigger and hammer for $140 if that's in your budget. |

Another consideration is picking up a BX, or older metal trigger and sending it to Brimstone tier 2 work I have a Kidd and a BX with the Brimstone tier 2 workup. The Kidd is a small bit better but almost hard to tell. As to a polished bolt Faxon has a nice one. |
