Really I would like to go the "does all" route but I know how many people advocate against doing that. Realistically I will be shooting mostly super/sub 300 Blackout and 9mm. So with that and the limited knowledge I have, I have narrowed it down to the following but I really wanted to hear more knowledgeable opinions here. Host will be 8" 300 Blackout, 9mm pistols, and 9mm PCCs - Spectre9 (Don't think it can do super 300 Blackout?) - Pointman9 - Universe 36 I would like to stick to around $750 but if there is a God tier options out there I'd entertain it. |

I should try my Griffin UL HD .36 on Blackout. I have specialized cans for that so I haven't bothered to do so. However, that one can will cover your two needs if you buy the booster. The Griffin can is 1.5" and relatively light so it's usable (and sounds good) on pistols. It's rated for just about anything .36 cal and down, very, very well made, HUB, and super affordable. I don't work for Griffin. I have two of the UL HD cans (the other is the .300) and am just a fan. Their price/performance is right where I like to be. Griffin UL HD 36 |

I have had a R9 since they first came out. Never used on a pistol. Lots of gas to face on my custom 8" blowback AR9. But I shoot rifles lefty. Have a gibbz side charging 9mm upper, Tried maxim delayed buffer. I currently run it with a bixler mount on my MKE AP5 where it works great there. I bought a Huxwrx Ca$h9k that I run on my AR9 now. I may pickup a Rugged Sub9 for another 9mm PCC. |

I started with a YHM R9 as my first “do all” suppressor. For the price, the economics are tough to beat. I too started with it on 8” 300 blackout, 9mm PCC, and 9mm pistol. You can put it on 16” 223/5.56 ar’s too. It’s not as good as a true 22 cal rifle suppressor but it works just fine and brings the noise down. Unless you have really tall sights or a tall red dot, it will cover the sights. I shoot both eyes open and simply “sighted through” the suppressor. Not ideal for some people but it works if you can do it. I quickly realized shooting suppressed centerfire pistols was a novelty for me and haven't bothered to put the booster back in the R9. Suppressed 22lr pistol is where it’s at though. Don’t be afraid to get a universal suppressor as your first one. Try it out, see how like shooting suppressed. If you like it, you’ll buy more and probably end up with specific caliber suppressors. And the good news is, your “universal” 9mm can will still function great on a 9mm host and will probably just stay there. |

Don’t buy a do it all can. You know this. Buy your purpose-built 762 can for 300BLK. Buy your purpose-built 9mm can. Wait a little while if you have, to buy your 2nd can. Most of us make this mistake and regret it. I have 3 of my many cans I’ll never shoot again because of this. You have no excuses with the $0 tax stamps. |

+1 on the R9. My first can was a .22 caliber. My second was a R9. I am completely happy with it and it is well within your budget. It isn't the latest and greatest but it is built like a tank and very versatile. Right now it is on my 9mm AR pistol. Not movie quiet but with 9mm subs is more than quiet enough to skip the hearing protection. |

Yes, they make do it all cans, but it's better to get a can made for the job. Rifle cans and pistol cans have different jobs. Pick which one you want first. |
