Picked one up today, really liking these modern new Marlin’s, my 3rd one. Have a 1895 magpul edition and a 1895 trapper. Going to use my spectre 9 for it as soon as I pick up a direct thread mount for it. Undecided on the optic but will be a green dot of some sort.

I have a 2-7 on the 45-70 magpul edition and a MRO on the 45-70 trapper, can’t go wrong going with a lpvo or a dot. |

I picked up some 158 grn fiochi 38’s to try, should be pretty quiet. |

Winchester, PMC, S&B, Armscor and Callaway Ballistics 38’s all stayed subsonic and were nice and quiet. |
