I have recently entered into the world of suppression...about a month ago I purchased my first can...(.22 Dead Air Mask). Now I just purchased my first can for my 5.56 ARs....a OCL Polonium. My question is how should I mount this can to my rifle(s)? I would like to use the can with multiple ARs if possible and it won't break the bank buying mounts....is there a good cost effective way to get this done or should I just use the 1/2 x 28 direct thread mount that comes with it? Thanks in advance for any and all advice...

I have a polo k and am using a diligent zilch adapter and their plan b mounts as well as a mounts. Works good and adds minimal length to the can. Also the zilch is inexpensive as far as adapters go.

I use the Rearden atlas system. No complaints.

I use Griffin Plan A. Simple, reasonably priced, short, works well, comes in a lot of thread patterns and muzzle device types.

It's simple, secure, light weight, relatively low cost (as far as suppressor mounts go) and supports more barrel thread patterns than any other mount system I've seen. I started with DA Xeno but have been disappointed with it so I switched to Griffin. |

The Plan B (Rearden or other brands) or Plan A (Griffin) are both lower cost and repeatable options. I don’t think you can go wrong with either.

Budget Price, High End Performance: OCL Polonium K review I use Plan A on mine; the L version is needed to run one of the long pin/weldable flash hiders. |

the Rearden Atlas and short flash hiders are great

I don’t like making plans for the day. Because then the word "premeditated" gets thrown around in the courtroom.

I direct thread my 10.5 SBR and Polo K. Never had any issues.

Only thing I can add is what style muzzle device might factor in what type of mount you go with. I wanted a flash hider and one of my hosts is a 14.5 that I wanted to pin and weld.
I ended up with a Forward Control Designs extended flash hider with xeno mount. Bought a xeno adapter for the polonium and regular sized xeno flash hiders for my other hosts. I looked at options a year later and had I not needed a pin and weld option, I feel like I would have went rearden maybe. The xeno stuff made the overall package longer than rearden did IIRC. |

Should have gone with the K for AR's.
The full length Polonium is very gassy on AR's, per OCL and others |

This isn't a .30 caliber can that can be dropped on multiple different calibers. Just save the time, money, and headache and stick to direct thread. |

Definitely subjective. I have a Barnes Precision Machine adjustable gas tube on my SBR, but nothing on my 16" and don't have any issues with either. |

I like ASR, yhm seems pretty heavy, same with da keymo and it’s more expensive.

I saw he’s going to be releasing more soon. Was thinking about getting a Polonium K or the 5x5. There is not much info out there about the Ecco suppressors like others. |

Having heard both i would put the 5x5 and PoK on par for performance. The full-size Po is quieter, but gassier. For compact cans either will serve you well. Flow-thru cans like Hux tend to be quieter to the shooter but a touch louder downrange. I contacted Pew Science to see if the can test the 5x5 and they said it's on their list. |

Plan on direct thread option on my SBR CZ Bren 2Ms for the Polonium that has been approved(in final two steps with Capitol Armory). It's gonna be dedicated so why not? Suppressor for everything as ARFCOM says
