Who’s the go to now’s? Seen some references in older threads but upon searching those companies found nothing or no firearms listed on the site. |

So much depends on the condition of the parts. Collectability if the parts, and any accessories. It can vary wildly. A GI, 30-06 1919a4 is a LOT more than a common 308 Izzy build. He can probably quote you the cost to build a kit, but thats about it unless he has a kit or build on hand. He also manufactures a lot of new parts himself. So he knows what he is doing. He is THE go-to guy for 1919 builds. Malico industries just finished up a handful of kit builds. So they may have some available. I think they were between 4 and 5k. I cannot attest to the quality of their builds. But they could be good? John McGuire and a few others are known good builders. "Guns, Ammo, Silencers" G.A.S. LLC does good builds on the west coast if you are out there. |

There simply is no source of kits anymore in more than individual amounts, so no builders are making them anymore. The parts supply is limited enough at this point that Karma Metal Products, who sells the semiauto triggers for them, has been making replacement parts as required for several years, but not all the parts for an entire gun. The days of the cheap 1919a4 are gone, they all were pretty much built up at this point. Sven Manticore Arms |

It's always amazing when a seemingly unending supply of surplus finally runs out. |

They are not a cheap endeavor no matter which avenue you take. Built gun or a parts kit to be built, links or cloth belts, a linker, tripod w T&E or A6 kit, pintle, A Crankfire if you want one, a spare barrel, internal parts machining, semi side plate, rivets, a few spare parts, broken cartridge extractor and ammo, ammo, ammo. It all adds up to several thousand dollars......but they are fun as hell. If you decide to build your own, they are actually a fairly easy build using a minimal of tools. A lot of people are intimidated by the kit but once you've seen one built, it's really quite simple. I've built 3 in a day with ease. |
