Gents, I'm thinking of picking one of the Noreen ULRs up, does anyone here have first hand experience. Okay? Avoid? |

There are occasionally some edges that are sharper than they should be - they've been running pretty much flat out for four years trying to get as many made as possible. Good folks. Ive had one for a few months now, think Ive got around 50 rounds on it. Hornady AMAX and Lake City APIT. Shoots soft, accurate, cheap. Its a boat anchor though and cheaply designed. Feels like all the money goes to the barrel and bolt/receiver lockup. If you want the cheapest thing that wont explode on you this is probably it, if you want something more refined check out the M99, though its twice the price. |

I think I need to watch a shell holder video to understand the order of operations here. Do you put the round in the chamber then reinstall the bolt? Or do you snap the round onto the boltface and then reinstall the bolt? How does ejection work? This is a picture of a ulr in .338 but the process is the same for .50. Attached File |

Got a golf bag cart for it so I don't have to pack it to the firing line. |

I like mine, got it for a steal, and it's been great so far. I find that I dont mind the weight when shooting 50 but YMMV. Mine does not have too many sharp edges and none at my contact points but if you do you can knock them down pretty easily. They have variations with the rail where some are 20MOA and some are 0 so I'd check when purchasing unless you are buying direct. Should be printed under the rail so you have to pop it off to know. Atleast thats how it was at the time mine was made but I have one under their previous brand. |
